Tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy deep blond color. Mild aroma, some malt, cereals and bread. Sweetish flavor, poor malt, there is a hazelnut touch, but not enough for hiding the vegetables character. The final is a bit too alcoholic. Not good.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of spices, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

bottle from Village de la Bière Strasbourd. Hazy brown colour with an amber glow, small head. Medium-bodied, flavours of caramel and tobacco with a smoky touch, hints of tropical fruit such as mango and papaya. Low carbonation. A very interesting example of the style, probably due to the combination of fruit and smoke.

Bouteille 750ml.

Hazy amber colour with some floaties, lovely creamy and persistent head. Fruity nose with hints of caramel. Solid malty base with lots of caramel, vanilla, honey and herbs like thyme and rosemary. Interesting combination of malty sweetness with the caramel and the herbal accents. A rather complex and very nice brew. Finishes with lots of caramel and chocolate.

A golden hazy ale with a thick white head. A nice herbal malt aroma, orange notes, a bit of catnip. In mouth, a sweetish malt with yeast, curacao, very herbal, but a bit thin. Bottle from SAQ, tasted Sept. 6 2009.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grain with a bready yeast that is quite dominant. Taste is also dominated by loads of grain and fresh cereal with a bready yeast and minimal hops. Body is quite full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no signs of the alcohol. I really enjoyed the cereal taste but would have wished a more discreet yeast strain.
