22 oz bottle in a trade with Sledutah. Pitch black color, small beige head. Light lace. HUGE coffee in the nose! Coffee and a light vanilla note in this brew. A dry finish with the vanilla coming through big as it warms. I’m a big fan of coffee stouts, so for me this is a home run from this brewer in Utah! Glad Sledutah put this in our trade.

12 oz bottle got in a trade with Sledutah. I used a snifter. Pitch black with very small white head. Light lacing. Nose of fresh oats and chocolate. Taste is oats, chocolate and light burnt coffee. Light carbonation and body is a bit thin, almost watery. However there is a bit of hop bitterness to help balance the sweet flavors. Overall a decent stout of only being 4% ABV.

.5L draft pour at the Squatters pub in the Salt Lake City airport. Pour is hazed darker golden with a nice white head. Aroma is nice grapefruit and pineapple citrus, along with some toasty malt. Taste is the hops up front, toasted malt in the middle that turns slightly waterty towards the finish. Palate is unfiltered but thin. Clean, easy drinking just a touch on the thin side initially. As the beer warmed, it picked up a bunch on the dank resin, and also quite a bit on the body. Really evolved and picked up points as it warmed. Fresh tasty beer, perfect for my 30 minute layover.

Thanks to adneilsen for sharing - typical Belgian/foreign stout character - overly carbonated, semi- abrasive mouthfeel - a great deal of black strap molasses in the flavor - a light bit of roast and a mild touch of estery character breaking through the sweetness - the finish is way too hot - some good flavors here, but it’s kind of rough.

enjoyed during 2011 RBWG pours light brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is vinous, with oak and dark red fruits. Flavor is mellow beery tartness, port, vanilla and wood. This is a great sipper.

Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s a slightly hazy one, dark amber in color and with a dense, small beige head. Fruity acidity on the nose, well, at least something leading my thoughts that way. Dried fruits, marzipan, notes of apples and a touch of cellar too. Fruit acid, apples and funk in the mough, full-bodied, astringent and nicely carbonated. Slightly puckering. A very nice one, although it lacks some depth. 101210
