courtesy of wasatch. Pours orange, thin off-white head. Aroma plenty of hops, grapefruit, pine very upfront. Flavor, malty with a good bitter side. Lots of pine/spicy hops coupled with good grapefruit palate. The malty side remains rather weak. Bittersweet and lightly spicy finish.

Small handle accented swing top growler courtesy of douglas88. Pours clear copper with some gold edges and thin white head. The aroma is sweet with malts and a bit of caramel, dates, prunes and yeasty spice. The flavor is much the same with a mix of caramel, dates, plums, apricots and spice. Pretty sweet overall and picking up the standard notes for the style that I can’t always discern.

Bottle courtesy of douglas88. It pours deep opaque gold with off white head. The modest aroma emits a touch of apple, some sugary yeasty spices and apricot. The taste is smooth and begins with spices and yeast them moving into fruit flavors like apples, apricots and a thin layer of lemon like acidity to round things out. It ends smooth and a bit drying creating a refreshing sensation. Nice stuff.

Pours copper with a good beige head. Aromas of floral and fruit. Fullish body with froth carbonation. It’s quite nutty, and very floral. I don’t get the nutty, but that’s how I’m interpreting it. There’s a lot of flavor. Some citrus rind. Finishes more bitter than sweet. I’d say it’s better than DFH 90M. My mouth is starting to shrink. Really good stuff.

750ml. Light gold body with a nice white foamy head. Aroma of spice, especially clove, fruit, toasted grain and mustiness. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture and extra lively carbonation. In fact, this beer is so overly carbonated that it’s hard to get any flavor from it. That’s ashame since this seems, at least in aroma, to have nice strong Belgian ale qualities. In fact, if you swirl away some of the carbonation, you get tastes of spice, pear and basement.
