Taste: Good balance between malts and hops.
This is a decent beer that I enjoy drinking.

Bottle provided by the Utah crew Thanks. Pours out a dark brown almost black topped with a small tan head. Aroma is nice plenty of the roast malts, coffee, pitfuit, and sweetness. Taste more of the rich roast, sweet chocolate, some molasses, and heat. I would live to try this one after it set for a year or two. A very nice first IMP from Utah.

Appearance: Pours a medium amber with a nice white head and some lacing
Aroma: Citrus, pine and sweet malts
Taste: Citrus, pine, caramel and malts
I really like this beer, it is well balanced. It tastes better out of the tap, but is still very good bottled.

Taste: Plenty of hops in the taste that isn’t in the aroma. Sweet malts in the finish

Bottle at the Utah tasting. Pours out a dark cloudy gold almost amber with a small white head. Aroma of belg yeast, grapes, and the classic banana spice. Taste is more of the grape along with s little oak and more of the belg yeast.

Bottle thanks to the Utah beer tasting. Pours out a straw topped with a nice head. Aroma was of lots of brett, light spice, and some sweetness. Taste more of the brett along with some tartness. A tasty brew not your normal Saison.

Big thanks to Douglas88 for this at the Pgh RB gathering 12/09. Please forgive my numbers on this perfectly on style brew. I rate by how much I enjoy them and this is one of my least fave styles. Tho not a fan of this style, everybody at the gathering said it was a really good DIPA. If by really good we mean it is really offensive to me, then, it was really good. Orangy yellow in color. Pine and tree sap aroma. No head. Big terrible bitter brush hog across my tongue. Just plain rude to the immature inexperienced palate of a lager lover. Mouth coating oily feel that leaves me wanting a lindemans framboise, heheh. What else can be said? Just nastily on style. If you like this style, better arrange a trade with douglas88, you will not be sorry!

This is a great Russian Imperial Stout. It is very well balanced and easy to drink, especially for 10.5% alc. Congrats to Squatters for brewing the highest gravity beer in Utah, and making a good one at that.
