Got this via family visiting from Australia! I’m not decking the halls but rather wrapping presents… Working Title Brewing Deck the Halls Bourbon BA Maple Imperial Stout 10% Deep black pour with thick dense and long-lasting beige foam. This has a HUGE maple aroma. Under the maple is insanely lush rich chocolate. This is seriously mouthwatering. I know nothing about the brewery but I’ve gotta say that so far I’m wishing I bought one to cellar. Full luscious body, the taste is rich dark chocolate, sweet maple, oaky bourbon with a tiny hint of mesquite smoke. This is complex but well integrated, truly delicious stuff and I’m thinking if I ever get to Australia I’ll need to try more of their stuff.

Flowable seems like an attempt at euphemism that gave up half-way through. Can. Pale amber with a 2cm white head. 3+ Aroma of vague citrus, somewhat earthy pine, breadcrust, biscuit. Sweet and biscuity with more resin than citrus. Some berries. Modest bitterness really. Drier and/or more bitterness would have worked better for me.

(Can) Pours black with small tan head. Great, and unusual aroma. It’s very much salted caramel. Smooth, soft, full bodied, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Taste is again very much salted caramel. There’s a nice bitterness in the finish that balances the caramel sweetness. There’s some pastry and cream notes. Very unusual, very nice.

From a 500ml can on 25/3/2023. Pours a deep deep brown with a medium head. Has a huge caramel aroma. As advertised, it’s all about salted caramel, with a pretzel like finish that’s quite salty, but works really well with the caramel sweetness up front. Has a slightly creamy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Lots going on with this. Unusual, excellent.

(Can) Pours cloudy amber with huge white head. Nice aroma of pine and lime. Medium body with plenty of fine carbonation giving a good mouthfeel. Taste is hop dominated with pleasant tangy start giving way to pleasant hoppy bitterness. Lurking under this there’s some fruitiness, lime and lemon maybe. Very drinkable.

From a 375ml can on 20/12/2022. Pours a deep brown with barely any head. Has a strong coffee nose, with some dark chocolate and bourbon. Tastes strongly of coffee, with medium sweet chocolate notes with hints of vanilla. Has some light roast notes and boozy bourbon. Has a slick mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. A very nice boozy coffee impy.

There's no description beyond Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout on the can, but this was recommended to me at Carwyn in the same terms as here -- as being the plain version as though being sodden with pretend whisky was a given for a stout. Anyway. Can. Very dark brown with a tan head that settles to a fat coat that doesn't last. Aroma of whiskey, pine, mocha, vanilla. Hot, sweet, barely medium bodied. Caramel, vanilla, some coconut, oak. No stout to speak of - no chocolate, roast or coffee. Tidy bitterness really helps. Good job I didn't get the ones with random crap in them I guess.

Can. Unclear amber with a good cm of dense white head. Lush tropical aroma with mango, overripe pineapple, peach puree, some citrus.Full bodied but short of syrupy. Lowish carbonation. All very tenor register, with tropical fruit, sticky bread crust and even grilled banana before a welcome bit of citrus and moderate bitterness. Different, interesting and very well done.

I thought cookies & cream was an ice cream flavour - seems a bit recursive to be a cookie flavour. Or perhaps I don't understand what a sandwich cookie is. As an adult, I don't understand why you'd want one in a glass, but nvrmnd. Can, in the Dan's GABS pack. Unclear amber with a cm of near white head. Aroma of biscuit, coffee, blackberries with some green ones and leaves thrown in. Fairly sweet with milk chocolate syrup, light biscuit, some berries. Lactose is not that obvious. No obvious bitterness but there does seem to be enough for a finish. OK.

Can. Clear orangish amber with a modest white head. Aroma of mixed citrus - lemon, grapefruit, some mandarin - some pine and spices, biscuit. Quite a lot more biscuit and pine than expected upon a sip. It's quite sweet and then the resin rolls through until a fairly bitter finish. The appealing citrus gets a little lost. Reminds me of a type of WCIPA I never loved.
