Hand-pulled half-pint in The Plough, Shifnal Shropshire on 5th Nov 2015. Blonde/golden bodied beer with a good white head that produced some impressive lacing on the glass. I thought the beer a little bland, like so many single hop brews, this had a mild citrus feel to it but otherwise a bit one dimensional and uninteresting: not what I have come to expect from the Sarah-Hughes brewery at all.

Cask at 2015 Birmingham Beer Festival; clear amber pour with a thin white head, aroma has sweet toffee, taste has sweet toffee and light pine.

On tap at the white bear, Tewkesbury. Deep Amber colour with a thin tan head. Aroma is fruity and taste is sweet.

Cask at the Kingโs Head, Bridgnorth. Mid-gold with a tight white head. Pixy Stix aroma with a hint of coriander and a bit of sulphur. Taste feels more focused: sweet with a decidedly bitter edge. Chalky mouthfeel. Bittersweet finish. Whatโs the surprise? Seems like a fairly standard beer to me, albeit a well-executed one.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is citrus, woody resin hop, The flavour is moderate bitter with a light yeast, malt hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. A superb session ale.

At the brewpub, Sedgley 22/11/2014. Golden with a slight, white, head. Easy drinking beer, with a hint if citrus fruit, crisp malts and decent, bitter finish. Fine.
