Cask at the King’s Head, Bridgnorth. Mid-gold with a tight white head. Pixy Stix aroma with a hint of coriander and a bit of sulphur. Taste feels more focused: sweet with a decidedly bitter edge. Chalky mouthfeel. Bittersweet finish. What’s the surprise? Seems like a fairly standard beer to me, albeit a well-executed one.
