Cask at the Cask Pub and kitchen. Dark caramel red in colour. Thick magnolia head. Soft roast aroma. Flavour is mostly fusel alcohols / nail polish remover green apple. Very hard to stomach. Pretty bad.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 30th January 2013. Slightly hazy amber with ring of foam and diminishing lacing. Hoppy and spicy aroma. Richly hoppy in-mouth with citrus, smoke and fruitiness. Increasingly bitter finish, and a smooth to light mouthfeel. Exquisite.

Cask at CPK, London. Pours deep gold with a fine, white foam head. Lightly toasted pale malt nose, some hay and dry lemon - in other words, a pretty damn standard aroma for a golden ale. Light sweet flavor, some crispy, biscuity pale malts, more hay, light lemony citrus bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Lightly dry to finish, further notes of lemon, some toasty straw, dry biscuits. Classical stuff. Good beer, the brewery name notwithstanding.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 18/01/13, thanks to Chris for the pour. Clear dark golden with a thin off white head that retains well. good lacing ensues. Nose is pale malt, lemon, light hop notes. Taste comprises pale malt, grass, caramel, light fruit notes, hops. Medium bodied, a little thin, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in the finish. Ok stuff.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Pours a cloudy yellowish straw colour with a thin glass hugging head. The aroma is quite amazing. It’s fruity with a gorgeous chewy toffee nose. The flavour is ever so slightly sour with pine needles. This is a super refreshing beer and another classic from Beer Geek.

Bottle at the Den Haag RB tasting. Light amber pour with a thin white head. A wonderful floral aroma of stinging nettles! The flavour is bitter and floral but smooth and thoroughly refreshing and tasty. Must drink more of this!

Bottle at the Den Haag RB tasting. Dark amber pour with a thin bubbly white head. Big malty aroma leading to a lovely warm rich malty woody bitter flavour. A real heartwarming ale. A real find!
