Frothy head that lasts for some time. Hops, coffee and liquorice in the aroma. Only slight hopbitter taste. Coffee and a bit of fruitiness. Slight hopbitter finish. Bland and not very interesting altbier.

The blabel describes it as a porter. Hint of roasted malt and mango in the aroma. Some roasted malt in the flavor, combined with a slight sourness. Apple, orange and chocolate. The flavor is OK, but it lacks the power and taste of real porter.

Cola aroma and flavor. Sweet with a hint of soapiness. The cola flavor has priority, the altbier is hardly noticed.

Nice color, steady head, but that is as far as it goes. Worty aroma with cinnamon and an unnameable vegetable. Very watery, grainy, but, to my surprise, not sweet and sticky. Looks OK and is drinkable.

I was surprised at first. Diebels pils, that is like Grolsch brewing an imperial stout. But they did a decent job. Frothy head, golden color. Hoppy, malty and flowery flavor. Fairly short bitter aftertaste with just a touch of cream. Well, Grolsch, what are you waiting for ?!

Frothy head, fading away slowly. Grainy aroma. A firm bitterness, more vegetable-like than hoppy. Watery. Bitter aftertaste. Could be worse.

Artificial sweet apple aroma. Some glue-like notes in the background. Apple and lemon flavor. Sweet, luckily not sickly sweet, but that is about the only positive thing I can say about this drink.

33 cl bottle @ Restaurant Milano bei Aldo. BBE 09/2019 Aroma has sweet malt, nuts and bread. Flavour has sweet malt, nuts, harsh malt and some minerals. Finishes with herbal and mint tones. A solid alt.

Certainly one of the better examples of the style. Malty and caramel-like. Balanced; bitter, but not overly. 2018 bier advent
