Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Hazy goldenccolor, small white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly hoppy, nice hop bitters. Average body and carbonation. Decent.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours mostly clear, deep gold with a foamy, white head. The nape has phenolic notes, banana chips, wheat bread. Medium sweet flavor with more notes of banana and doughy wheat bread, low bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more of the same: doughy wheat, ripening banana, faint hay. So so.

Keg at the brewpub. Pours murky reddish brown with a creamy, light tan head. The nose holds tangy cherries, toasted barrel, earth, traces of vanilla. Medium sweet flavor with definite barrel notes, light vanilla, some torched caramel, earth, restrained tart cherries, undertones of alcohol. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with nips of woody dryness, some earth, toffee, ripening tangy cherries. Quite drinkable given the purported ABV, and it all hangs to get her fairly well.

Cask at the Foundry. Pours unclear amber-brown with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds light roast, toffee, burnt nuts, earth. Light sweet flavour with semi-dark malts, touches of leathery fruits, raisins, prunes, faint toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finaihes with more ripening berries, subtle earthy bitterness, toasted mats, faint toffee. So so overall.

Keg at the Foundry - Canerbury. Pours clear my hearty gold with a creamy, off-white head. The nose holds pine needles and crackery malts. Light-medium sweet flavour with more pine needles, dried citrus peel, some jammy orange, grassy bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with light pithy citrus, more bitter grass and peel, ripening orange, dried pale malts. Not bad.

Gravity dispense at Ealing BF, 06/07/16. Hazed orange golden with a decent off white head. Nose is banana, light spice, clove, yeast esters, white pepper, fruit loaf. Taste comprises bread pudding, straw, vanilla pod, caramel, light banana tones, fruit esters. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough cask Belgo stylee.

On tap at The Foundry. Mid brown red beer clear lasting beige head. Strawberry aroma. Touch of rubber. Decent strawberry flavour. Ok. Based on the Henry’s Pennance with strawberry juice added.

Cask handpull at The Foundry 5.8% clear russet. No head. Sour ish premium bitter. Strawberry flavour. It’s a little earthy. A bit flat. A little disappointing some bitterness on the finish. Hmmm
