Cask at White Hart, Chobham. Citrus and malty aroma with a spiciness to it. Copper gold. Thin bubbly translucent white head. Medium bitter with a citrus bite. Underlying fruit syrup sweetness. Spicey into the finish. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Flat-average carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Decent enough, has some life to it.

Can from Hoptimism. Appearance - golden orange, a little haze. Big white fluffy head. Nose - canned oranges, red apple and quince. Taste - more red apple and canned orange. Palate - close to medium bodied. Tangy middle and finish. Overall - good. And quite individual.

Cask at the Whip Inn, Laceys Green, 31/08/20. Clear golden with a decent lasting white cap. Nose is pale malts, biscuit, light honey, watermelon, grass. Taste comprises lemon rind, sweet malts, honeydew melon, grains, crackers. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close. Decent enough well kept cask affair If a little short on flavour considering it’s 5%+.

Keg at Horse & Groom, Chobham. Herby citrus aroma. Hazy pale gold. Foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Some mirroring of the aroma but a big dose of quinine. May be my imagination but also seem to be some underlying buttery tones. Light bodied. Thin if slick. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Very dry as advertised but a tad too harsh.

Half-pint, cask, after breakfast at Manchester & County (JDW). Shared with Finn. Deep mahogany coloured body, off-white head, spotty lacing. Mid-sweet earthy malts on the nose. Taste of caramel malts and biscuit. Dry malt-driven end. Pleasing. (Manchester 25.01.2020).

Cask at the Hope Tap JDW), Reading. Deep chestnut colour with a thick creamy beige head. Lots of chocolate, dome stewed fruit, spice, and a winey woody finish. Sweet with a touch of dryness. Really tasty, easily the best beer I've had from Loddon.
