Bottle from Oakes Farm Shop, Balsall Common. Pours a mostly clear dark gold/light amber with small white top. Aroma of biscuit, honey, citrus pith, pine. Taste of syrupy honey and citrus pith notes, biscuit, light dry mineral finish, moderate bitterness. A bit of a standard-traditional gold ale. Not bad at all but nothing special.

Handpull cask at the Bridewell, Liverpool. Light to mid-gold, clear with a small head. Floral and slightly Earthy hop with some white grape. Sweet taste with fruity hop characters emerging clearly. Rounded finish. Light body with soft to nil carbonation. Very good.

Bottle from Warwick Real Ale. This one is actually 5.0% so a bit of a divergence. Appearance - amber with a generous white head. Nose - biscuit, lemon and orange. Taste - dried orange and brown bread. Almost cakey. Palate - light to medium bodied. Decent richness in texture. Dryish finish. Overall - quite enjoyed this one.

Bottle from Warwick Real Ale. Appearance - deep amber with a thin off-white head. Nose - orange and brown bread. Taste - orange, floral honey and brown bread again. Palate - close to medium bodied. Tangy middle. The finish is a bit of tangy and a bit of dry malty, but lacks any hop bitterness. Overall - quite liked this, all the same.
