Boring gold colour, decent head. Aroma is a quite strong hops smell, slight barley hints. Taste is like a Belgian blonde, lots of hops and a dry hoppy finish. All hops, really, a little bit of honey sweetness as well though. I dunno, to me, a Noël beer should be dark and reasonably heavy. This doesn’t fit that description.

Bouteille (Merci,le Quack-Duck!): Hazy, amber coloured to deep golden; at first sight hoppy, at second sight mainly (X-mas) spicy nose with a sweet grainy and yeasty background; sweet sugary flavour, quite light bodied for a beer of 7.5%, a bit sticky; finishes with aromas of cola; lemons, dried fruits and a light tartness - too - in the sweet sourish finish. Not too bad, mais tres doux......

(bottle, 75cl, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Cloudy, deep golden to amber colour with a collapsing slightly beige frothy head. Yeasty and distinctively spicy aroma with notes of ginger, cara-malt and a hoppy touch. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly sugary taste with notes of black tea, citrus and ginger spice; sweet and fruity malty finish with mildly spicy notes. A tad sweet but still a likeable brew. 10.XI.10

A hazed light blonde ale with a thin white head. Aroma is quite interesting, with nice herbal qualities, light lactic notes, veering on gueuze and light honey. In mouth, a very sweet honey overlayed with coriander, light acidic points, a tad cloying but overall, not bad. 750 ml bottle from Cave a Bulles, Paris, May 2010.

Bottle 750ml.Clear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, sweet malt, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, yeasty, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101024]

33 cl bottle. Pale gold with a high, fine head. Spicy, malty, creamy aroma. Fruity, with strawberry and melon, and some butter. Sweet, buttery flavor, lots of esters, bit malt, coconut? Something tropical. Spicey, with a decently bitter finish, but too creamy and buttery. Nice enough hops, though.
