Even though this beer falls in with most of the really cheap bland beers, I've always found it more drinkable that others in its class. It also has always had the strange effect of making me want to throw the empty cans all over the place - which sorta makes it fun to drink if nothinf else.

As I say regarding nearly all macro-made American lagers, this just doesn't compare to the good lagers of the world. But Red Dog is IMO among the very best macro lagers. It has a richer flavor than all the other big name beers.

Even though I would proclaim this as the best of the American lager lite beers, its hardly rich and full-bodied. I find it relatively thin and bland compared to some other lagers.

A big step up from most other major American lagers - it has a fuller body, darker color, and a bigger malt presence. Still, its a relatively thin, watery pale lager compared to the better examples of the style.

Miller's version of Lowenbrau conjures happy early teen memories sneaking these beers from my best friend's father's stash - three of us spiriting them away to our tree house. A perfect introduction to beer drinking. Cheers to you old friends!
