Most of you know that one of my hobbies is beer. But what you probably didn't know is that another of my hobbies is industrial espionage. Well, it took a while, but I've finally secured the files which contain all of the Miller Brewing Company's recipes. The recipe for High Life is as follows: for 1000hl batch, take 990 hl water, add 9 hl corn syrup and boil two hours. Transfer from mash tun to fermenter via used catheters from Shady Pines Nursing Home. Ferment with yeast scraped from the fingernails of cadavers. Once fermentation complete, spike with 10 hl gasoline. Top up with paint thinner to taste.

Whats the point in this anyway? Doesn't the Ice process concentrate the beer and produce more calories per ounce than a normal light beer. Anywya, I'm just waiting for Miller Lite Ice Dry Golden Genuine Draft

Light gold colour, oversized bubbles, soapy-looking head; aroma of fusels, shitty homemade scrumpy, grass, and so much DMS it's more like vomit than corn. Soft initial sweetness (malt? could it be?) give way quickly to harsh alcohol, dms, cider, and a whole host of other nasties. This beer is like a guy with 8 different diseases.

Golden colour. No head. Slightly toasty nose. Very harsh carbonation and a minerally flavour. Neither malt nor hop. Vegetal notes are about it, besides the minerals. Extremely harsh carbonation rips the tongue. Smooth? Not even in the ballpark.

Rerate from a serious rating: I’d almost put this as a premium lager. Seemingly cleaner than the rest of Miller’s main line. Still very light, no detectable hops, malt presence minimal. Body surprisingly smooth though, and that’s this beer’s main upside. Very pale straw color, fading artificial head.

I'm assuming this is the beer that's called Mickey's Bigmouth for those wide mouth bottles. Def a beer designed for quick drinking and a fast cheap buzz. Sweet and not unpleasant tasting.

I thought I'd revisit this beer that I previously rated in May 2000. I said it was bad then (original rating below), but then I worried maybe I was just being a noob beer snob, after all I've come around on some pale lagers, like Coors. So I got the 16oz can from the gas station. Turn out that was 14oz too much - technically 8, because that was how much I drank before pouring it out, but the last 6 were just to be sure, plus I really wanted a beer. But yea, sourish, grainy, weird, terribly unpalatable. Just like 20 years ago, I didn't finish it, and no change to the score. Compared to Miller Lite and MGD, this beers is a throw-away. It just plain tastes bad. My one and only tasting came in a restaurant in which this was nearly the only choice. I didn't finish it.

As most icebeers are, this one has more flavor and body than the regular macro lager equivalents. This is easy to drink without flinching from the watery bad bitterness found in other macro beers.
