Description
Set up by Wim van der Spek and Sue Cooper, commencing production in June 2005. All beers are vegan friendly and all but a few are certified organic. Most are available on cask and bottle conditioned.

Bottle Appellation Wines, Comely Bankers Draught tasting. Pours hazy amber with a thin head. Aromas of caramel, biscuit. Taste is light dried fruit, biscuity finish. Dull, frankly.

Bottle from Old Shambles Tavern in York. Dark amber with a decent head. Fruit and biscuit. Taste of toffee orange and a touch of biscuit.

Bottle. Creamy White forthy good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Some strage fruity notes. Oily palate.

Bottle, 3.5%. Clear golden with medium white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, fruit, phenols and a little burned plastic. Flavour is malt, yeast, phenols, burned plastic, medium sweet, hop, grass and a little bitter.

Bottle @ my place. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt, fruits, flowers and hops. Semi bitter finish.

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 090116

Bottle from Old Shambles Tavern in York. Appearance - deep amber to brown with a nice generous head. Nose - biscuits, toffee (perhaps honey) and a slight metallic note. Taste - more toffee, metal and biscuits. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and good bitterness on the finish. Overall - quite an enjoyable bitter.

Bottle from Old Shambles Tavern in York. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fluffy fawn head. Nose - dark chocolate digestive biscuits. Taste - more of the same. A touch of toffee and honeycomb too. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long balanced dry finish. Overall - a really tasty stout.
