Brilliant white rocky head stayed well on a hazy dark orange coloured body. Minimalist hoppy aroma. Medium body. Sharp & dry on the palate. Very cloying. Bitter pith tastes of citrus, grapefruit, orange & hops. Typical English IPA - but I’m enjoying this one.

Frothy beige head stayed well on a dark mahogany coloured, finely effervescent body. Woody, vinous, aroma with honey & syrup hints. Thick creamy body, clean on the palate & a sharp tickle down the throat. This is so smooth. Malty to the fore with dark sugar & cherry followed by a crisp tangy back of plum, over stewed fruits, apple & grape. A rather nice sipper!

Cask handpull at The Doric Arch Euston. Cola coloured lasting tan head. Yes a vanilla chocolate beer. It’s like chocolate ripple vanilla ice cream in a glass. Drinkable though.

Bottle from Real Foods. Appearance - golden with a nice lacy head. Nose - smells like a wit. Citrus and creamy banana. Taste - more of the same. A bit sour and malty though. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - not bad.

500 ml bottle. Clear dark brown, almost black body with a medium sized tan head. Rather mild aroma, light roasted dark malt, some coffee, nor much vanilla in the nose. Flavor is very smooth, dark malt, light roast, some coffee, moderate bitterness and some vanilla. Medium body and nice aftertaste with more vanilla into it. All in all except for a bit thin body, it’s actually a nice and smooth porter for the ABV.
