500 ml bottle conditioned, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Very dark ruby colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of moderately roast malts, only hints of vanilla and orange peel. Slightly sourish flavour with moderately roast malts, slightly dry. Hints of orange peel, surprisingly little vanilla for a beer called "vanilla porter". Very moderate hops.

500ml bottle conditioned: BB Feb 18. Drank at a friends house on 4th July 17. Dark amber/brown body, decent white topping. Smouldering Peat Bog sort of a beer, thought it OK but I am not a smokey sort of guy.

Appearance is quite a dark amber, with a solid thick off-white head. Aroma- caramel malt, toffee, toast, raisin hints. Taste- bitter hops, earthy malt, dark fruit undertones, forest floor, orange, hints of plum and blackcurrant. Fluffy mouthfeel, bitter finish.

500ml bottle conditioned (lot 6056, BBE Aug 2017) into a UK pint sleeve at home on 3rd Mar 2017. Good, dark mahogany body, full and lasting creamy head. Malty with a slight sulphurous trace in both the nose and taste. Strange one this, malty molasses trying to showcase their sweetness against a bitter, musty, earthy, sulphur undertone: not sure it should taste like this (although I note others have mentioned similar flavours).
