Cask gravity at Ashford Rugby Club BF 2007. Gold with thin bubbly off white head. Odd lambic aroma. Farm yard. OK in mouth. A bit of a cross between a blond ale and a mild lambic. Bizarre.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. A Belgian English beer? Hazy gold, lasting off white head. Thin, dull, no great aroma. Odd yeast. Some odd yeast and an empty finish.

Bottle, picked up from small delicatessens shop in Leominster Bottled as Suma Penumbra Organic Stout Poured murky dark brown edging towards black. Nose was slightly sharp with some bitter coffee notes detected. Tasted sour and sharp, this pretty much dominated and swamped out the other flavours, there was a bitterness, it was dry but overall this will be remembered for being very sour and not really my thing.

Bottle, this was as Suma Long Wall Mouse, picked up from delicatessan shop in Leominster When I saw this was brewed by a Dutch brewer my thoughts immediately were that this was brewed by Anglo Dutch. Poured hazy warm golden colour vanilla on the nose with some hops. Quite refreshing vanilla once again showing itself, slightly dry but a touch sweet with malts also at the fore. This was very nice and suprsied me, much better than the Suma stout I’d just had.

Bottle, amber with nice white head, good bitterness, slight sourness, maltier than expected. I think this is a pretty reasonable beer and better than it’s ratings suggest.
