Nitro can. Typical nitro draught pour. Light toasted malt aroma. Perhaps a touch of smoke. Very dark brown color with ruby tint at the edges (takes a strong light). Good tan head. A bit thinner than medium bodied. Creamy nitrogenation. The flavor is burnt toast, but in a smooth way, and there is some definite bitter along the edges of the tongue. I vote for some hop, but it could be the burnt aspect. Smooth and good. A soothing stout.

Can. Nice tan head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma is roast malt. Taste is sweet and roast malt.

Can. Jet black with creamy nitrokeg head. Aroma of roasted malt and bitter chocolate. Watery in the mouth with more chocolate flavours and an ok dry finish. Better than Guinness but that’s no saying much.

Draught @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Dark brown color with a large creamy excellent lacing fully lasting light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty and some smoke, notes off coffee / chocolate !! Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium !! texture is oily. It was a bit disappointing.

500ml can (4.2%) at home. Accomplished by smoke and noise when opened. Black body colour under a velvet beige head, fully lasting. Discreet chocolate aroma. Malted milk chocolate in flavour complemented by a moderate touch of roasted grain. Semi-dry ending. Medium bodied. On the very smooth side - in fact much too smooth, tending to become characterless (08.06.2007).

From tap. Pours brownish red, unclear at first but settles into a clear redish beer with a nice creamy off white head. Aroma of mildly sweet malt and some hops. Mouthfeel is soft creamy. Flavour is malty, slight rye bread like and slight sweet. Caramel finish.

Not sure if this is in the right beer because my can says murphy’s draft style stout pasteurized beer and it is in a brown and off white can. The pour is typical of these widget cans, simply beautiful and quite a show with it’s fireworks and all. Very little plain old beery aroma. Very dark, but not quite opaque. Has a head that is creamy off white foam. Taste is burned and slightly chocolaty with absolutely no carbonation at all. I am not a fan of these widget brews, just doesn’t really appeal to my palate. Finish is back of the throat slightly medium bitterness that hangs for a while. Will not purchase again. Tastes and feels like any other widget canned brew. The appearance saves this from being less than a 1 overall.

0.5L can. Deep dark brown, not completly opaque. Small head that lasts. Strong smokey aroma and some light roasted coffee. The palate is completly dry and bland, creating a sensation which is extremely unpleasant. A big dissapointment.
