Deep coppery brown body and good foam. Kind of a musty caramel on the nose, and not doing much for me. Taste is chewy light molasses, biscuit they wish, ending a little too thin for something like this. Maybe I've played my part, but it's a player's art, for something like this.

Good deep blackish brown body and pretty nice foam. Nice sweet coffee on the nose, chocolate milk, very smooth. Taste is chewy coffee, cocoa, molasses hints and finishing dry yet refreshing. A very nice stout, crowd pleasing and not too confrontational.

Cloudy lighter gold body and okay foam. This is labelled as a table beer but really, at 4.69% it's what we would usually just call beer. Lemony yeast aroma, slight sour grain, vague cereal funkiness and not bad at all. Taste is chewy cereal, definite buckwheat, ending smooth but just a little too wet. Pretty good and very refreshing and only just a little middy.

Cloudy gold body with no carbonation and modest foam. Really excellent pineapple and banana on the nose, soft yeast hints. Taste is chewy malt and soft banana, slight peach, finishing boozy. Some nice elements here but ends a little rough.

Pours pale gold with modest foam. Okay yeasty cracker on the nose, slight sweet hops. Taste is honeyed cracker finishing smooth with sweet yeast hints. Not bad, a little low key but enjoyable.

On tap at Herald Street, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a piney and grassy hops, some muffled earthiness, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is much the same, with earthy, grassy hops, a touch of pine, and bready malt to back. A bit jumbled and too herbal in the hop expression, but it's not bad.

On tap at Herald Street, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is hearty, bringing out dry oats, dusty dry cocoa powder, and some earthiness. Flavour is hearty, chocolatey and somewhat bitter — there's bitter dry cocoa powder, oats, and I guess some hops to give it the bitterness. Hearty and bitter chocolatey finish. Very good.

On tap at Herald Street, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out some earthy notes from the saison yeast and subdued citrusy hop tanginess. Flavour is much the same, with a rustic, earthy saison yeast character, accentuated by the NZ hop tanginess. A bit rough and lacking cohesion, but it's reasonably constructed. Okay.
