Crisp golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of metal, rice, lemon zest, alcohol and a hint of nice crisp hops. Light-bodied; Crisp and slightly sharp metallic and citrus flavours with a nice light grain and zest flavour finishing with a herbal note. Aftertaste has a mild citrus flavour, followed by herbs and grass, but all very smooth and still flavourful. Overall, a good beer to try for sure and a nice option for the style! I sampled this 50 cL can purchased from Whole Foods in Tyson’s Corner (Falls Church), Virginia on 10-June-2014 sampled on the train to New York on 17-July-2014!

Can - nearly black pour - thick, soapy, tan lace - nose of woody and citric hops, pretty resinous, with a healthy dose of malt roastiness, som chocolate, toasted cocoa beans - the hop character is also a little sweaty and cheesy at times - oily, slick mouthfeel - low carbonation - taste is bittersweet chocolate, burnt peanut husks, heavily sweetened coffee - hops arrive late - bitter, woody, fairly acidic, leading into a moderately alcoholic finish - messy.

12 ounce can into pint glass; no can dating, but was released recently. Pours hazy bright gold color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, tangerine, floral, grass, light pine, wheat, cracker, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with dank citrus/grassy hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, wheat, cracker, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, wheat, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of dank citrus/grassy hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish, Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice hoppy pale wheat ale. Nice juicy citrus/grassy hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home waiting for a repairman. Appearance is a cloudy gold with little head, light bubbling. Aroma is mostly light wheat malt, not much else. Taste is mostly malty, light bread, light wheat. Nothing too exceptional, decent. I like the can.

Rich, super cloudy amber and copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head - very nice looking. Aroma of fresh grassy hops, alcohol, a good malt backbone, some light fruits and a very herbal and slightly resinous note. Medium-bodied; Very bitter hops up front showing grapefruit that have no depth at all - very mild after the first initial sip with not much malt coming through and only a touch of fruit or strength, the hops hit hard at first but are left with almost nothing just a few seconds later. Aftertaste shows the grassy and herbal hops with a little pale malt and very little else - not much going on, and not much complexity at all. Overall, a decent IPA with some good smells and a quick bitterness that basically fades to just about nothing at the end aside from herbs and grass. I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 30-March-2014 for US$2.79 sampled at home in Washington on 30-May-2014.

Good black IPA. Pours a thick, dark brown, with small, quickly dissipating, creamy head. Aroma dominated by roasted grain, with some hops, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is marked by coffee, chocolate, roasted grain, some leather, and hops. Finish has a bit of a burnt toast touch to it. Good stuff.

Pours a cloudy, pale, golden yellow, with minimal head. Aroma has some hops and some citrus zest. Flavor is very grassy, the hops are pretty muted, and there’s a fairly sweet undercurrent. Not one of the better IPAs I’ve tried.
