330ml bottle. Bright golden colour with a short-lived white head and moderate carbonation. Stilted aroma of sweet malt and floral hops. Flavour had some doughy malt, a touch of sweetness and a tired hop finish. Ok.

Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hoppy. Flavour has some grass hops. Smooth, and has a nice bitterness

500ml can. Pale golden with a medium disappearing white head. Nice fresh hoppy aroma. Nice, refreshing hoppy, grassy malt flavor. Medium body, a bit oily. One of the better pilsner around.

Golden with a huge, rocky head. Light earth and some hops in the aroma. Flavor is earthy hop, light malts, and a semi-dry, bitter finish. What a difference from the bottled version. An outstanding pilsener that I’m looking forward to drinking again. Rating reflects draught version. (Draught at Pivo, Yokohama) (Green bottle shipped to Japan = Skunked every single time. Nice frothy head on this crystal clear, golden brew. Sadly, the aroma is overtaken by the skunk. Sweet malts, herbal and earth tones are detectable underneath. I’d love to get my hands on a fresh one of these. Crisp body. Flavor is a bit off, as well. Malty, some earth tones, and noticeable hops. Finish has some nice dry hops. A fresh one of these is probably very nice but this one is not up to par. Will re-rate if given the opportunity. Old rate - 3)

The bottle looks good. The beer in the glass also. Fine, creamy foam. The beer tastes spicy, not dry, a little bit sweet. Good beer!

A very famous beer – all pilsners are named after it. The bottle looks really good. Not as much alcohol as German pilsners. Fresh and modest spicy, not too dry – a good beer.

Draught. Deep murky brown head with mediumsized foamy brown head. Aroma is mildly roasted malts along with some grass and a weird sour note. Flavour is mildly roasted, some caramel and quite much sweetness. The alcohol doesn’t show except for a nice warming touch in the throat when the beers goes down.

Canned. Clear golden, rich head. Light hay aroma. Sweet and light bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Butterscotch is evident, aromatic hay-like hops less so. Notes of sugar. Low bitterness. Pretty good commercial brew.

Draught@Pikkulintu
Dark brown color, small brownish head. Menthol and grass in the nose. Fizzy, caramelly, a bit grassy flavor. Despite of 7%, alcohol is well hidden. Although style here is "doppelbock", this is closer to some Estonian and Latvian Baltic porters.

On draught at Na Parkanu, Pilsen: Clear, amber coloured, mid-sized, lacy and creamy sandy head, deep caramelly nose with distinctive traces of toasted malt and spicy oaky hops, moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, slightly lingering caramelly-bitter finish. a very well quaffable, well balanced new beer........
