500 ml bottle. Unclear dark amber with a creamy head. Metal, candy sugar, caramel, rye bread, salt pretzels, lemon. Metallic bitterness, malty syrupy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, metallic caramely bitter finish. Although this is a good brewery, this one feels a bit cheap, maybe it’s the added sugar..

Bottle. Clear amber, near white head. Toasty aroma with old fashioned sweet shop spices. Soft texture. Malty but not very sweet- but also a bit thin. Spices and bitterness are firm enough at the end (which makes it).

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a neat and lacing white head. Clean malty nose with discreet flowery hops. Solid malty body, super clean with a perfectly balanced sweetness. Decent balancing bittering hops in the finish. Nothing fancy, just a clean and smooth strong Lager. 240524

Pours a beatiful looking deep red with amber hints through light. Medium to big sized dense, creamy white head; shows good retention and leaves lots of lacing on the sides of the glass. Moderate intensity in a quite peculiar, interesting aroma: honey and caramel maltiness with a light note of soft nuttiness, perhaps the slightest buttery hint, delicate grassy hops and a hint of red apple with it's light crispness/prickliness. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, with ok definition. There's quite some sweetness and low to medium bitterness, with a bit of sweet edge in the mouth and a balanced finish, where a hint of earthy bitterness shows up. Feels very soft, partially from a hint of diacetyl (not at all unpleasant). As the smell suggested, it doesn't stand out in terms of intensity, but it's mostly about softness and delicacy. Light to medium bodied, average thick bubbled carbonation, quite easy to drink and pleasantly soft, slightly creamy. A very interesting one, quite peculiar and at the same time very classicly czech.

Pours a slightly deep golden, clear. Average sized, slightly frothy white head; shows good enough retention and some lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: cereals and hay with a light background of honey, delicate grassy/herbal and lemonish hop notes. Well defined. Taste shows more complexity than the smell suggested. A not timid sweet malty base, with cereals, hay, light honey and perhaps a hint of chamomille, a touch of not at all unpleasant soapy-like feel, fruity notes feel slightly juicy with mainly lemon and lighter apple, the slightest grassiness on the back. Not especially intense, but clean and well integrated, feels nicely refreshing for the abv. Medium sweetness, low to medium bitterness, the slightest sweet edge in both taste and aftertaste. Feels very well balanced however, with a clean mouthfeel and finish. Light to medium bodied, feels probably a little lighter than i would have expected for the abv, with slightly below medium carbo; rather easygoing. Overall: like a regular (malty side) svetly, a bit amplified. Really liked it.
