Almost clear golden with a foamy head. Metal, lemon zest, grain, again metal. Metallic bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry metallic malty bitter finish. It’s a very simple Bohemian lager with an industrial taste. Not the most appealing one, but overall solid.

From tap at Ferdinánd Monarchia Étterem 06.09.24. Clear mahogany. Beige head. Excellent aroma and taste of sweet, medium roasted malta, dates, rasins and mellow hops. Very drinkable! A very good specimen of the style.

Tap at Restaurace Ferdinand. Oooh, now that low alcohol radlers are okay, I couldn't not go for this .rar whale once I spotted it among the taps. Hazy golden body with a weirdly orangeish, fleeting head. Real OJ used? Could well be! OJ in the aroma mixed with some maltiness. Sweetish OJ taste, maltier, barely a radler, lower carbonation, vague bitterness. Didn't thrill, but it's good for what it is!

Tap at Restaurace Ferdinand, Benešov. Improved recipe, they say. Full golden body, thick off-white head, lasting. Hoppy aroma, herbal, bit dusty, some white grape touches. Medium-light body, sweetish, clean maltiness, full, mild herbal hoppy notes heading into a good bitterish hoppy finish. Clean, well balanced, works!

Bottle, koszi Panni! Deep, clear golden pour with long lasting white head. Nose is malts, herbals. Taste is bittersweet hay, herbals, grass. Long bitterish, metallic finish, light creamy body soft to normal carbonation.

Tap. I don’t have too much to say bout this one. It went down easy during a pit stop while discovering Prague.
