500 ml tap. Unclear dark brown with a creamy head. Chocolate, light red and white wine, toffee, citrus, basement notes. Medium dry bitterness, slightly sour, some malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry malty sour finish. Very nice!

0.5l tap. Unclear golden with a creamy head. Buttery, grainy, metallic, citrussy. Dry metallic bitterness, grainy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry grainy metallic finish. A classic adorable beer!

Bottle, 5.0%. Citric aroma, hint of white bread. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable rocky chalk white head. The flavour is nicely malty but strangely citric. Strange notes of type fruit and paper. Chalky finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grassy, herbal, hoppy and mild spicy elements with some bread. Flavour is spicy, grassy, herbal and quite bitter. Surpisingly tasty considering the rather low abv.

Optisch kräftig goldgelb mit einem ganz zarten Hauch von Trübe und leichter grober Perlage. Die weiße, mittelporige Schaumkrone gibt sich flaumig, gut stabil und langlebig. In der Nase nimmt man in erster Linie getreidige Malznoten und einen grasige Hopfenton wahr. Im Antrunk wirkt dieses Bier von der Aromatik her sehr zurückhaltend, grob spritzig und ganz leicht malzig. Am Gaumen breit, getreidig malzig und sehr angenehm würzig. Die 40 IBU lugen zwar nur hintergründig in diese Aromatik hinein, verleihen diesem Pilsener aber eine ganz gute und gelungene Ausgewogenheit, die ein ganz gutes Gesamtbild erzeugen. So ergeben sich auch ein richtig gutes Mundgefühl und eine absolut gute Süffigkeit. So ein Bier trinkt man trotz seiner Unkompliziertheit wirklich gerne. Im Nachtrunk wirken die getreidigen Malznoten gut nach und zunehmends stellt sich eine grasige Hopfenaromatik ein, welche sich in eine immer kräftiger werdende Herbe wandelt. Fazit: Einfach, aber richtig gut!
