Sample at the source. Lightly hazy dark straw in color with a frothy white head that slowly recedes. Bright citrus and tropical fruits with hints of resin and some bready light caramel maltiness to back it up. Didn't really find the potato, but the beer is quite tasty.

Hazy golden and yellow coloured body with a relatively thin, one to two centimetre tall, just off-white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves just about nothing on top. Aroma of crisp grapefruit, lemons, grass and a light dose of sweetness, but the bitter hops and associated alpha acids remain strong and noticeable in the nose. Medium-bodied; Relatively strong bitterness from citrus and grapefruit with a lot of alpha acids and herbal graininess with some flowers and a dry, pungent bitterness all from the hops, but robust throughout. Aftertaste shows some sweetness and juicy qualities with some oranges, tangerines and especially grapefruit, but the robust malt balance and bitterness helps out in complexity. Overall, a nice and pungent IPA with a deep grapefruity and strong lemoney bitterness with a grassy and floral quality as well that is balanced out nicely and showing some relatively pungent alpha acids throughout, in a good way that almost makes this seem like a traditional IPA, as well. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 12-September-2020 for US$4,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 20-October-2020.

Can from the Packie. Dark brown in color with good clarity and a thin bubbly tan head that dissipates slowly. Peanut butter nose and flavor light roasty earthy chocolate. Decent brew.

Pint can from Beer Run, 10/9/20. Hazy orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of tart orange, lactose, hay. Taste is lactose, vanilla, tangerine, mango. Medium bodied, mild bitterness, well balanced.

Can from the Packie Pours a lightly hazy deep yellow color with a thin off white head that quickly dissipates. Bready malt with some orange and vanilla. Not overdone, not too bad.

Can from The Packie Pours a lightly hazy yellow gold with a thin bubbly white head that slowly dissipates. Earthy spicy grassy with plenty of pineapple against a lightly sweet bready maltiness and a touch of diacetyl. Its a litte spicy and bitter in the finish. I honestly was wishing for a bit of cherry flavor for a bit of a sweet and sour thing.

Can from Greg and Jane's Lightly hazy electric orange with a decent sized but short lived frothy white head. Earthy grassy sweet bread and bits of fruity and citrus. Solid sweet malty backbone like the IPA's of yore. Not bad.

Pounder: Husky grain, nougat, cocoa, and strawberry nose. Clear amber, thin head. Tangy strawberry, lesser cocoa and orange notes. Full body, easy carbonation.

16 oz. can split 2 ways. I said it before and I will say it again. No such thing as a blonde stout. Totally dumb. \Flavor shows sugar, mild cocoa, sweet vanilla, and something that is similar to strawberries. This really rides the line of being too sweet. Not a repeat buy, ever.
