Virtually black with a fleeting, foamy head. Fudge and pumpkin pie aroma. Taste is sweet and artificial with the feel of flavored soda. Finishes slightly bitterer with a dose of lingering pumpkin. Body is fizzy, thinnish, and not particularly inviting given the style. Failed experiment.

Can direct from Tempest. It pours super dark ruby - brown with a quickly dissipating yellow tan head. The aroma is rich maltage, vanilla, whisky fudge, toffee crisp, dried fruits, toasted fruit cake, pain au raisin, custard, toasty malts, marzipan, toasty brown sugar and heady whisky notes. The taste is slick, thick, bitter - sweet, toothy, chewy, whisky fudge, dried fruits & berries, fruit cake, Dundee cake, toasted nut, fruity whisky, warming booze, tangy, juicy and muted liquorice with smooth, warming finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and slick mouth feel. Heavy duty, but fun.

Dark, dark copper with a creamy, white head. Big toffee aroma, earthy, full of berry undertones, predominantly cherry. Taste is mildly bitter the whole way through, with slightly chalky, mineral-like overtones covering a rich, sweet malty body. Medium bodied, slightly oily, dry. Great character for the current 4.4%

Can direct from Tempest. It pours darkest brown to black with a decent dark tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, umami, loads of salted liquorice, liquorice allsorts, chocolate cake, burnt toast, rather savoury and earth. The taste is slick, thick, bitter - sweet, big hit of liquorice upfront which lingers throughout, salty, savoury, liquorice allsorts, salted caramel, toffee, dark roasted malt, cocoa, caramac, fudge, coffee grounds, mocha and fairly well controlled boozy warmth. Finish is as it starts bitter - sweet liquorice. Medium - fulsome body and average carbonation. An interesting imperial stout for sure. If liquorice is yo thang, this is for you.

Deep brown with a small tan head. Big notes of caramel, molasses, toffee, honey, dark tart fruits, whisky, wood. Full, oily body. This is a big fella. Good stuff.

Can shared by my bro. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bourbon soaked oak, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, chocolate ice cream, slightly charred, toffee, oily, chocolate bourbon biscuits and warming booze. The taste is smooth, dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet, vanilla fudge, muted coconut, plenty of coffee, cappuccino, bourbon soaked oak, cinder toffee, caramac, dried fruits, fruit cake, chocolate, rocky road, toasty spice, plum jam and warming booze with a stick, deeply roasted finish. Medium - full some body and average carbonation. Flavourful and balanced. Hides the abv very well. Dangerously drinkable.

Can direct from Tempest. It pours slightly hazy yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is bright, zingy, tangy, plenty of lime, lime sherbet, salted cracker, melon and definite margarita vibes. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, touch of minerality, light saltiness, puckering juicy lime, zingy, zesty, melon, biscuity malt and cracker with a dry finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Lovely stuff. Bright and quenching. Summer crusher.

Can direct from Tempest. It pours hazy pale yellow - gold with a white cap. The aroma is sweet, juicy, bright, zingy citrus, tangerine, grapefruit, marmalade sandwiches, mango, star fruit and gooseberry. The taste is initially crisp then softens, pithy, zesty, plenty of citrus, tangerine, kumquat, grapefruit, mango, touch green, gooseberry, soapy florals, floury bread and slight chalkiness with a dry finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice aroma, but the taste doesn't quite live up to it. Finishes ona. Chalky, waxy note which isn't so great. Overall it's decent enough.
