Draught@Euston Tap, London. Hazy goldeny amber colour with a small beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, mild wooden and sprucelike notes along with some resin and sweet malts. Flavour is wooden, bready and caramelly malty with some spruce and mild herbal notes to it. Quite thin for being 6 %.

Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Pours cloudy, amber-gold with a fine, white cream head. Aroma is all immense peach, melon, mango. Medium sweet with further strong peach and tropical fruits, some lightly toasted pale alts in the background, soft earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, super juicy finish, lots more peach, sugary peach yoghurt, pineapple, watermelon, canteloupe. Quite an interesting beer. Well and fruity. Extremely tasty.

Keg at the Anderson, Fortrose. It pours deep amber, with a thin white head. The nose is wood, rye, sweet orange, prune, date and raisin. The taste is rye, spice, brown bread, underlying caramel, nut, raisin, grape, resin, some alcohol warmth and citrus notes, with a deliciously bitter finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and well balanced. The world of pain that was involved in making this was worth it!

Taste: Sweet malt with a restrained pineapple flavour. Quite peppery. Dry, bitter finish with a hint of spice. Unusual.

Palate: Medium body with a very oily mouthfeel. Flat carbonation.

Overall: An unusual beer - slightly peppery and very oily. It’s pretty tasty, but not very moreish.
