Description
Iceni Meadery is probably the smallest commercial Meadery in the UK making Mead, Melomels (Mead made with Fruit) and Methiglins (Mead made with Spices). The Meadery is based in Peterborough and brews using traditional methods and honey from local bee-keepers.

If you want to try something new, love bees or are interested in a taste of history then Meads, Melomels and Methiglins may be the thing for you.

750ml bottle pour at Charters Bar courtesy of SHIG, cheers Shawn! Peterborough micropub crawl with SHIG & Grumbo 22Jan2022. Slightly hazy pale gold colour, no bubbles on top and aroma of honey, gluey, some spice hints. Taste is sweet, floral, honey, boozy, with initial slight cardboardy oxidation notes. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, low carbonation, sweet boozy finish. Quite drinkable.
