125ml measure with travlr at Charters, Peterborough. Light white gold, clear. Honey aroma with some light notes of sweet spice. Sweet taste, warming spices around the edges. Some grape and apple in the finish with more sweet cooking spices. Good if somewhat similar to their other meads.

125ml measure at Charters Bar with travlr. Light gold, only a touch of cloudiness. Honey and sweet spice on the nose: nutmeg, cinnamon. Strong coffee flavour with warming spices. A bit much of a muchness. Some chili in the finish. Lighter body with no carbonation. Decent little mead.

125ml at Charters Bar, Peterborough with travlr. Vinous dark red and clear. Aroma of thick honey with light notes of stone fruit. Sweet taste, only a hint of cherry in the aftertaste. Boozy finish. Thick body. Not a lot of cherry but still good.

125ml measure with travlr at Charters, Peterborough.It's very light gold, almost moonlight. Honey, herbal and woodland notes in the aroma, strong alcohol. Sweet, sweet, sweet taste. Sticky honey, sugar syrup, some orchard fruit notes. There's more sweetness to the sticky finish. Full, thick body for a mead. A decent strong mead, lots of character.

18/7/2022. Bottle from Iceni Meadery. 2022 vintage. Pours clear pale gold with no head. Aroma is gently spiced with cinnamon and clove, light rhubarb, honey, flowers, hints of allspice and nutmeg come through. Medium sweetness, with some developing rhubarb tartness. Sticky and syrupy. No carbonation. Warming finish. Another nice one Bob. More soon.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Pale golden colour, afew short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of spice, honey, slightest rhubarb hint. Taste is honey, spiced, warming, floral, some tartness, syrupy, with just a hint of rhubarb. Oily mouthfeel, full bodied, low carbonation, warming spiced lingering sweet finish. Nicely sippable.
