Isle of Harris Brewery
Microbrewery in Isle of Harris, Highland, Scotland 🏴
Established in 2020
I confess...in my twenties I only drank coffee or Guinness. My education in craft beer began in 2003 when Fin and Loz moved next door. Visits together to breweries, pubs and beer loving friends all over Europe followed. For the next ten years we ran a beer festival in our home village of Merton in Oxfordshire.
Anna - The Crofter
I first came to Harris when I was two years old. My Uncle & Aunt were renovating a croft house in the Bays of Harris. It was very different from life in Oxfordshire but I loved it. In 2014 we moved to the island with our family and four years later settled at Croft N°6 in Borrisdale overlooking the Sound of Harris.
Spud - The Boss
Spud is the youngest member of the Isle of Harris Brewery team but he quickly rose through the ranks to become Managing Director.

Bottle courtesy of Mr Nicolai & Anna (Isle of Harris Brewery) consumed at Scott and Mandy's Dumbleton Worcestershire Sunday 22nd May 2022. Nice vibrant red, light haziness with a barbie very light pinkish head. Lovely tart cherry, nice dryness, furry across the tongue. cherry is plenty sour. This is good, be nice to see an oak aged version.

Bottle courtesy of Mr Nicolai & Anna (Isle of Harris Brewery) consumed at Scott and Mandy's Dumbleton Worcestershire Sunday 22nd May 2022. Initially a little lively on the pour, however, it settled swiftly, pours hazy reddy, in fact it's blood red, with a blushed pinkish head. Tart cherry, a little dryness, dusty hops, furry bitter bite, some cherry. It's a good effort but if pushed I would dial this up and go more funkier and especially more bitter, it's an IPA so probably the latter, it's sitting on the fence at the moment.

Bottle courtesy of Mr Nicolai, Harris brewery, cheers my friend, had this listening to Squid - Narrator at home sat outside, Saturday 10th April 2021. We had a great Curry Guy Chicken Jalfrezi and homemade Chapattis tonight. Pours very dark brown with a light beige head. A good stout, it's a great use of spice, noticeable and yet subtle, it's really easy to overdo this. Nice mouthfeel, smooth, rich but not overly so, a pleasant but restrained spiciness, roastiness and smooth chocolate. This is a lovely stout, I do think that these dark beers are where Nick is in his element.
