(bottle) Hazy, bright orange-golden colour with a big and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty and bready malty aroma with noticeable wheaty notes, a tinge of caramel as well as distinctive fruity accents of banana and apricots, also hints of alcohol and mildly herbal-spicy hops can be found. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter-tart flavour, medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Quite balanced (cara-)malty, wheaty and fruity taste with notes of banana and apricots, backed by hints of herbal hoppy spice in the backround, getting slightly stronger towards the finish; the alcohol shines a little through but is quite warming and thus bearable. Not bad, I appreciate the delicately hoppy tang. 09.III.16

(bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and thick foamy head. Banana-fruity and slightly sour-ish wheaty aroma with present phenolic spicy notes and hints of band aid. Mildly sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a prickly carbonation. Initially delicately hints of caramel, moderately wheaty accents, banana and lightly citrus fruitiness; moderately sweet and slightly sour-fruity and wheaty finish with a mildly spicy touch. Nothing special. 09.III.16

Surprisingly dark orange-brown color with big creamy white head. Aroma is cellar mold, caramel, and some wheat. Taste is caramel, a bit grainy, weird sweetness, quite a sweet finish. Low carbonation. Meh.

Bottle at home. Slight hazy nice looking reddish brown with light beige creamy head. Some banana, caramel and spices, soft minerals, sand, dry wood. Light sweet. Medium bodied with slight creamy feel and quite some carbonation. A bit bland but not bad.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Pours clear ruby with a little head that quickly disappears. Some typical Doppelbock tastes and aromas, yet they’re all not refined or well-defined. Greasy. Not particularly appealing.

Clear medium golden colour, tall frothy white head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma is sweet malty, grain, bread, hay. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light grassy. Sweetbitter aftertaste, medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation. Decent and drinkable but more an Export than a Märzen.
