Can to snifter.
Appearance: copper color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated inward and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: green apple, red apple, woody/oak barrel, touch of vanilla, then cinnamon and at the end the sour aspect chimes in
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to tart quality; finishes with the mix of apples with a great level of sour
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning to being sessionable as plenty of smoothness envelopes the tongue and the tart and sour becomes nondescript
Overall: baked apple sour! Well it certainly is and very worthy of returning to if I could.

Appearance: dark orange close to amber color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely but barely left any lace
Aroma: sweet and tart plums, subtle berry sweet and tart character, then some herbal tea
Flavor: tart to sweet character of the plums, more like black tea here than in the aroma; finishes with the plums and the sweet and tart vibes of those berries
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning to being a sipper, some tart vibes hitting the tongue but I think those tea qualities helped smooth out the tart aggression
Overall: nicely done fruited tart ale I could have again.

250 ml can shared by my friend Chris at a tasting. The pour is a hazed copper dark golden with basically no head. The aroma is berry, tart lemon all bright and clean. The taste is tart lemon, lemon fruit sweetness and fruit from what I assume is the Marion berry, fruit skin, earth and more of the lemon to the back. Nice integration of flavors. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and tart citrus in the finish. Nice one.

250 ml can shared by my friend Chris at a tasting. The pour is a hazed pink, copper with a limited to no head. The aroma is bright raspberry fruit, tart with some citrus acidity. The taste punches you in the face with bright sour tart raspberry, along with a touch of vinegar. The palate is medium bodied with soft to low carbonation and a big tart sour finish. Good but crazy tart and sour - fun to have a Cascade beer again, it had been years.

On tap at Chuck’s Greenwood, pours a deep dark mahogany brown with a small beige head. Aroma is quite acetonic, with plenty of barrels, sourness, acetic notes, and citrus. Flavour is very sour but somehow avoids being prohibitely acetonic, with some spices, tartness, oak, and vinous notes. Been a while since I had a Cascade, and I almost forgot how abrasively sour they could be. Cohesive and reasonably constructed but far from an elite BA sour.

Bottle pour at the DCBeer December 2025 share. Poured a slightly cloudy amber-red color, still a small, off-white head. Aroma was still sharp sour notes after all these years. Tart, and sour. Not a lot of pumpkin, but a decent amount of sour, tart malts. Really nice and sweet. Liked this one quite a lot. Really held up well after over a decade from when it was bottled.

2015 bottle at home, 20th December 2025. Pours an orange pink, aroma is apricots and some funk with berry. Taste is tart, apricots, some raspberry, funky and refreshing, with good complexity

Bottle pour, deep Greyson ruby red. Deep sour yeast and cherry aroma. Mouth puckering sour, deep cherry pie notes with grape must, yeast and wet flannel blanket. Excellent!
