500ml bottle from Appalachian. I'm about done with this brand, hoping for one last spark. It all turns to vinegar a couple months after bottling. Stemless wine glass @home. Clear, shiny, metallic gold. Old oak, a little margarine, leafy, chardonnay-cider nose. Taste is super mild. Mellow, macerated dessert apples, fermented half & stalled half sweet. Earthy, lime leaf, touch of cider vinegar, mellow core. Chardonnay all the way. Kinda soupy & boring. At least it didn't turn sour in 3 months. Always intentionally still, sorta creamy, hot for just 7%. Okay.

Bottle pour at NC Cider Fest. Couple of pours. Sorta cloudy, pale gold, translucent, still. Fresh eating apple nose, some skin, round. Taste is cleaner than usual for them. Mild skin, white wine acid & soft dessert apple sweetness. Light sidra notes in the very back. Thin but creamy, borderline watery. Okay to good.

Barn door finally got shelf space at Appalachian, lol. Two month sleep in the fridge, pint glass @home. Disturbed & excited pour that eventually settles out. Clear, pale straw, faint foam. Smell is obvious twangy vinegar, with bubble gum & glue. Sour fruit, peach & lemon. Taste is thankfully approachable. More sour peach & plum than obvious vinegar. Slightly sweet & mushy apple middle, kiwi sharpness middle on. Dusty, thin, mellow high acid, well carbed. Still half sweet & sharp on the finish. Kinda okay. Though everything wild doesn't need to taste the same.

500ml from Appalachian Vinter. Kinda surprised they stocked any local cider that isn't shit. Pale straw, almost clear, no head. Pear sweet, light twang, gentle plastic & heat on the nose. Creamy, almost all sharps, touch of dessert apple, acid-y middle, 7up sweet turning vinegar, lime sour, floral earth, gummy, starting to turn. Okay, but kinda a moving target. Bit tired of the natural ambient yeast all tasting sort of the same.

750 from Tree Rock during their closing. Goblet @home. Dusty, not hazed, oily light-medium gold. Smell is a mix of sour & savory. Cornbread, bubblegum, green peppers, glue, oxidation. Semi-tart, big glue, grainy oxidation, soft apples, rubber, gentle whiskey & general grape fruitiness. More of a chemical funk. Subtle/unintentional oxidation, yeasty, boozy. Way past due.

500ml bottle from Tree Rock. Mojito glass @home. Clear, if a bit dusty. Pale straw gold. Fumy Riesling, sharp skin, light vinegar, gum. Veggie, sharp, juicy & acidic, rubber, lemon, vinegar sweet & pickled backend. Dirty leaves once it's all done. Dusty dry, super acidic, belly heat. Turning in the bottle.

Bottle share at TreeRock. Obstructed, but still somewhat visible pour. Fresh pressed, dessert tart nose. Taste is a blend of fresh pressed, lime, veg, massive oak & old bittersweets that are a little oxidized. Lots of stem. The very faintest vinegar sharpness in the finish. Surprisingly good.

500ml bottle @TreeRock. Slightly hazed pale gold bottle pour. Same fun pineapple acidity as the base Ebony bottle, but much more floral now with the Winesap. Taste is slightly yeastier, sweeter, low abv. Acidic white wine, pineapple & bitter skin. Obviously the same base, still slightly oxidized, lots of juicy flesh, bitey finish. Pretty good.

500ml bottle @Tree Rock. Clear, pale gold, intentionally still. Smell is sharp with pineapple & white table wine. Drinks less funky than expected. Dry, lemon pineapple, pepper, watery white wine, a flash of odd oxidized grain flavor, soap, leaky wild vinegar finish, pale tannins, lingering zestiness. Decent to good.

On tap @BarnDoor. Taster. Middling yellow gold color, some haze. Soft, flowery, yeasty scent. Thin, yeasty, glue. Sharp dessert apple flavors. Somewhat off, but tasty at the same time. Some mellow barrel. Overall, kinda raw. Middling to low carbonation, yeasty, watery, noticeable abv. Okay.
