Description
The brewing industry in Grünbach has been documented since the early 18th century with the brewing law of 1723. After an eventful history, Herman Noll took over the brewery under the name of Schloßbrauerei Grünbach. In 1990 son Alexander took over the brewery in the third generation. After the year 2000 Alexander Noll started to look for a partner in order to be able to cope with the challenges of the beer market and also recognize the potential of the brewery in order to be able to continue investing in brand revitalization and expansion together. In 2013 this partner was found in the Arco-Bräu in Moos.

Bottle. Blonde. Citrus in the aroma and flavor. Very fruity. Tangerine, banana. Just a slight tartness. Not sweet, luckily. Refreshing.

0,5 l bottle. Zisch market, Wildeshausen. Murky pale golden with a white and very foamy two finger head. Low orange fruity smell, some yeast. Taste is fruity, dry, plum, some marzipan, wheat and yeast, but not overdosed, caramel and grassy elements. Above average carbonation. Different than expected but not bad.

Bottle picked up from REWE Zolling, consumed at home Attenkirchen, Wednesday 1st May 2019. Pours pale lemony/light gold with a white head. Having consumed four alcohol free beers today I thought that I would take a risk and go for a 2.8% Leichte Weisse, it's not bad but if given the choice between this and alcohol free then for the barely discernible taste difference I would probably go for the alcohol free every time. It's got a little more bite, however the nose is subtle, light citrus in the mouth. It's a bit disappointing if truth be told.

Bottle picked up from REWE, Getränkemarkt, Zolling and consumed at home Easter Sunday 21st April 2019 whilst making Beef Burgers with a fresh (from garden) Horseradish Cream filling, with Smashed Avocado and Corn Cakes, listening to Thee Oh Sees - An Odd Entrances. We're sat outside in glorious sunshine . Pours a glowing gold with a white head, really soft in the mouth, aside from the realisation that this is a wheat of some description I'm not quite sure what a Urweisse Hell is other than possiblity a mix up of 2-3 styles? Btw now listening to Jane Weaver - Modern Kosmology. Back to the beer, it's a nice effort, a little watery orange squash, wheatiness shows and as you would wish very refreshing. We're sat listening to and watching a pair of Black Redstarts in the garden who are outsinging Jane Weaver.
