Description
The brewing industry in Grünbach has been documented since the early 18th century with the brewing law of 1723. After an eventful history, Herman Noll took over the brewery under the name of Schloßbrauerei Grünbach. In 1990 son Alexander took over the brewery in the third generation. After the year 2000 Alexander Noll started to look for a partner in order to be able to cope with the challenges of the beer market and also recognize the potential of the brewery in order to be able to continue investing in brand revitalization and expansion together. In 2013 this partner was found in the Arco-Bräu in Moos.

500 ml bottle from the supplier of German gold that is Kolschtrinker. Thanks chap! Pours hazed glowing deep orange, good pillowy white froth atop. Aroma has light weisse esters. Taste is soft, light weisse notes consisting of the usual banana & gentle butterscotch, echoed by honeyed malt shades, completed by a moderate bitterness. Its a fine weissbier i suppose, not jumping out as special in any way but im fine with that.

Süffiger, kernig hefig-getreidiger Beginn. Spritzig, mild nach vergorener Banane, etwas trocken. Hell hefig bleibend, rund, geringe Süße. Langer kernig getreidiger Abgang. Gut. 9/11/9/9/11/9

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, banana and yeast, with notes of caramel and yeast. Sweetish, malty and bananalike flavour with estery notes and touches of hops. Estery and caramellish aftertaste. A decent, well-balanced Weizenbock.

0,5 l bottle. Murky orange brown in the glass, huge foamy pale beige head. Looks good. Shy smell, little bit fruity, some wheat and yeast but not a lot. Taste starts dry, mid orange fruity, but not as intensive as expected. High carbonated. Below standard for a Bavarian Weisse.

Bottle, found in a Marktkauf in Nordhorn. Golden color. Yeasty aroma with a hint of citrus. Thin. Lemon, tangerine in the flavor. Watery mouthfeel. At least the flavor is OK.
