Troebel lichtbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met wat abrikoos, aardbei en een heel licht zuurtje. Een bijzondere Weizen wat betreft de smaak die ik echter heel erg kan waarderen.

Had this in the new Costco 24 mixed pack of German brews. Seems a little early for advent calendars... and it doesn't exactly say advent calender, so I just started drinking them. Light banana, some coriander. Pours slightly hazy golden with good initial head. Light sweet finish. Easy drinking hefe. Can.

Bottle picked up from a mixed 9 beer box at Edeka, Hunding and consumed at home Wednesday 9th July 2025. Listening to ByteFM and cooking a French Sausage and Puy Lentils meal tonight. Summer has disappeared these last few days, it's 14c and been cool and showery all week 😠. This is actually quite a pleasant wheat, nice fresh and spritzy nose, light touch of spice and banana, this also comes through in the flavour, good.

Bottle. Xmas gift from the missus. Lovely hazy glowing dark gold with a boss swede. Nose has sweet ripe banana and buttery malt loaf. Big clove and herbal character. Taste has a vanilla sweetness turning a little dry. Minimal amount of herby bitterness. Smooth and foamy. Extremely drinkable. Great stuff.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. A Xmas gift off the missus. Hazed deep gold. Of f white foam. Nose has your trademark Weiss character but there’s some rubbery stuff going off. Bit of a flabby mouthfeel too. Sweet finish. Not for me.

A golden and murky beer, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has wheat, sourness, bubblegum. Taste has a lot same as in the aroma. Sourness of wheat, bubblegum, only hint of fruitness. Medium bodied. Sourness style of hefe. Pretty nice.

September 2010: 500 ml bottle, as Schlossbrauerei Grünbach Greabecker Urweisse Hell, bought at Rewe Getränkemarkt, Erding. ABV is 5.3%. Cloudy brownish-yellow colour, huge and lasting white head. Strong typical hefeweizen aroma of banana and cloves, also other undefined spices. The flavour has moderate notes of banana and stronger notes of cloves / other spices, but is drier than many other hefeweizens, and the moderate hops in the finish are actually noticeable. A bit too much carbonation in the mouth for my taste, but otherwise a nice h.w.

February 2015: 500 ml bottle, as Grünbacher Altweisse Dunkel, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Hazy brown colour, pours fizzy with a large to moderate off-white head. Pleasant wheaty aroma with notes of cloves, citrus, banana and brown bread. Fairly light bodied, wheaty and citrussy flavour, hints of cloves, banana and brown bread again. Low bitterness, as typical for the style. A nice refreshment - even people who normally prefer the paler hefeweizens should not be scared stiff by this one.
