Description
The brewing industry in Grünbach has been documented since the early 18th century with the brewing law of 1723. After an eventful history, Herman Noll took over the brewery under the name of Schloßbrauerei Grünbach. In 1990 son Alexander took over the brewery in the third generation. After the year 2000 Alexander Noll started to look for a partner in order to be able to cope with the challenges of the beer market and also recognize the potential of the brewery in order to be able to continue investing in brand revitalization and expansion together. In 2013 this partner was found in the Arco-Bräu in Moos.

0,5 l bottle from a local Getränke Hoffmann. Cloudy flat golden in the glass with a very frothy two finger white head. Wheat yeast with orange and some clove on the nose. But not a lot. Taste starts dry wheaty, low orange, yeast. Not a lot more. Just okay.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange with a beautiful huge white head. Aroma of malts, yeast and booze. Taste of caramel, some wheat and malts with acidic hints of citrus fruits. Alcoholic aftertaste complemented by a dull bitterness. Medium carbonation. Thin body. This lacks a lot. Kind of like a Dunkelweizen for folks who don’t really care for this particular style.
