Description
1948 übernahm Alois Unertl, ein Sohn des Weißbierbrauers Unertl in Mühldorf, eine Kleinbrauerei mit Bräustüberl. Er spezialisierte die Brauerei von Anfang an auf die Herstellung von Weißbier. 1952 wurde das heutige Brauhaus errichtet. Das bis dahin ''Haager Weißbier'' benannte Produkt heißt seitdem Unertl. Mittlerweile wird die Brauerei in vierter Generation als Familienunternehmen geführt. Die brauerei konzentriert sich auf was wir am besten können: Weißbier brauen.

Die spektakuläre offene Gärung in ovalen Bottichen ist der Höhepunkt obergäriger Braukunst. Anschließend kann das Unertl durch eine besonders schonende Flaschengärung seinen typischen, runden Geschmack entfalten. Dieser sehr aufwändige und flächenintensive Vorgang ist zwar eine Seltenheit, im Sinne der Qualität für uns aber eine Selbstverständlichkeit.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! Nice caramelly round beginning. Smooth Weizen yeast in the back, round and smooth, refreshing brew. The body is caramelly smooth, the clove aromatic Weizen yeast fits in great. Round and malty smooth Weizen body. Great brew!

50cl swing top bottle shared with Erzengel. A hazy orange brown beer with a small white head. Aroma of dark bread, caramelish malt, dough, some banana. Taste of sweet caramelish malt, nuts, cookies, wheat, cooked banana, good!

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks kerenmk. Cloudy deep amber-brown. Infected, olives, vegetables, yeast, some fruitiness, sweet, light tartness, medium-bodied. Infected.

Drat at Taphouse Munich. Black! Surprised me, anyway. Nice aroma of roasted coffee and light bubblegum. Taste has more roast, banana, citrus. Good stuff.

500ml Bottle - Hazy dark brown with red tinges and a foamy head. Chocolate, cherries and banana in the aroma. Banana split with chocolate sauce, berries and toffee in the taste.

0.5l bottle from getränkemarkt in münchen. pours a hazy chestnut with a medium off-white head. isn't this a dunkelweizen? aroma of banana and cloves, a hint of smoke. flavour of toffee, banana, grass, yeast. sessionable.

Bottle (thanks marduk). Pours golden. Aroma is sweet, wheat, sugar. Flavor is sweet and bitter, dugar, wheat, grainy, notes. Body is watery. Overall: drinkable, -1 for a gusher.
