Bottle. Decent mass produced belge, amber with a moderate head, slightly sweet but with a medium hop bitterness to balance it. Nice malt flavors, not as complex as other examples of the style.

75 cl bottle bought at Maison Leffe, Dinant, then tasted at Melià Luxembourg Hotel, in snifter, side by side with my old man. A very hazy dark amber pour with a short-lived snowy head. Aroma is rather peculiar: smoked herring, mushrooms, saddle, umeboshi, dried apricots, timber, slightly rotten lemons, wax... Wow, many uncommon features. Mouthfeel is crisp, subtly salty and umami but not bitter. Silky, very low carbonation. Not long in the palate. Strange is the word.
