Fast gone whitish head over veiled, finely carbonated golden beer. Sour, coffee. I would venture cachara, but that's in the other version. Nice combination of 2 main aromas. Sour + coffee - again. Interesting combination, as said. The acidity is refreshing, and difficult to allocate, but certainly nice. Warming up, old coffee. Light body, good carbonation. Bit sticky at the tonguesides. I like it - but truth to tell, it ain't one you'ld order a second of. Txs to Stef!

Fast receding pinkish head over faintly veiled brownish-garnet beer. Almost vinous, fruitwine-like, red berries beer. Red wine wafts. Fresh ànd dried berry flavours. Grapeskins, winebarrels resulting in long-lasting wineflavours. Medium bodied, not very carbonated, tart verging on astringency. Excellent!

Draught Thick tan head, huge & stable over virtually black beer. Booze, Bourbon being unmistakable. Very faint ureum. Roasted malts, but smelling sweet. Intense sweet-raisiny and Bourbon tatste, with just enough vanilla not to be off-putting. Sweet grapes, alcohol and fusels. Sticky, viscous, luxurious feel; good carbonation, alcoholheat. Quite good - really sweet but not cloying.

5/X/23 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: n/a, canned: 3/I/23, LA22260622E(?) (2023-812)
Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, a bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of spices, cardamom, cloves, some nutmeg, cinnamon, pretty dry. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very spicy, lots of liquorice, cardamom, cloves, bit sourish. Aftertaste: very spicy, lots of cloves, black liquorice, way too spicy, nothing balanced, and a weird unpleasant acidity on top makes this beer pretty bad for me.

Gents Bier Festival 2023 - Clear red, no head. Aroma and flavour have lots of sweet red fruit. It's offset by a pleasant sourness. Juicy and tart.
