Crowler. Pours a clear gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has light pine and a bit of resin with a touch of flora, grass and grains underlying. Flavor has earthy pine and grass with a hint of resin, light flora and some grain underlying.

Taste from a crowler at a share. Pours a hazy, orange color, with a big, bubbly, white head. The aroma is grapefruit juice, lemon, raspberry, and vanilla. Sweet, with a sharp bitterness. Light to medium body, with a sticky, pulpy, and lightly acidic palate. This is a solid and fruity IPA.

On tap at the brewery in a flight. Pours clear, pale yellow, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is biscuit dough, buttery hops, green bananas, and musty attic. Sweet up front, with a dry, mellow bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste. Light to medium body, dry, a little astringent, and sticky. This is a fun concept, and I love the name, but the beer is kind of a mess.

On tap in a flight at the brewery. Pours clear, pale yellow, with a small, white ring. Sharp lime aroma up front, with some biscuit dough, sugar cane, and lactose. Sweet, with a light funk, and a bitterness that dampens out the tart lime flavor, sadly. Light body, very acidic, and clean. This is a fun idea, but it doesn’t follow through as much as I’d like.

On tap in a flight at the brewery. Hazy orange color, with a small, beige head. The nose is orange peel, brown sugar, banana and doughy esters, and butterscotch. Sweet and phenolic, with no appreciable bitterness. Heavy body, chewy and thick, with a bit of effervescence. This is a fun and interesting beer, but it fails to hit a lot of the high points of a tripel.

On tap in a flight at the brewery. Pours a nice, ruby, brown color, with a small, beige head. The aroma is pumpernickel bread, light, dark cherries, straw, a bit of peat, and toffee. Sweet and malty, with a mild bitterness that gives good balance. Heavy body, chalky, sticky, and thick. A pretty solid and tasty beer, and a bold attempt at an underrepresented style.

Sample at the brewery. Pitch black, with a small, tan ring. The aroma is molasses, coffee, and toasted caramel. Sweet and syrupy, with a nice, roasted bitterness. Heavy body, sticky, thick, but clean in the finish. This is a delicious and well made stout.
