The Hönig brewery in Tiefenellern has an old tradition. The brewery and the inn "Zur Post" have been family-owned since 1778. The brewing right has existed since 1478 and can be documented.

Dark copper with a frothy, white head. Woodsmoke aroma, apple butter, and a touch herbal. Taste is mildly bitter with a hint of peppery spice. Rich, sweet, caramel body just underneath. Finishes mildly watery with lingering woodsmoke. Easygoing, unexpectedly refreshing. Good one.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot mate! BB 13.05.26. Clear darker golden in the glass with a nearly two finger white foamy head. Looks good. Grainy aroma, some caramel. Taste starts with dry grainy bitterness, malt and some caramel in the second row. Mid carbonated. Long lasting aftertaste. Nice bavarian standard stuff.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot! A darker golden, nearly clear with a small one finger white head in the glass. Caramel and apple fruity aroma. Taste has caramel and increasing intensive bitterness. Edge to buttery. Metallic hints. Below average carbonation. Can not really convince.
