Tap at St. Francis. Quite light vanilla yellow, very hazy. Steady, creamy white head. Pretty solid thirst quenching beer. Mellow sour tones. Touches of wheat. Light on the palate, very easy to drink, refreshiing. Peach, lemon, pleasant sourness. A little watery. Thin body. OK to good.

Tap at St. Francis. Frothy white head. Filtered orange-tan body. Buttery, unimpressive aroma. Buttery taste. Nice noble hop tones, but the overall flavor is unenjoyable. Not so good.

Tap at St. Francis. Hazy orange body. Creamy, steady head. Earthy, dry, almost clove touches. The candi sugar thicks it out a little in an almost oaty way. Not that sweet per se. Along the lines of a table saison or grisette in flavor, but a bigger body, medium to full. A touch lacking in falvor, almost grainy undertones, similar to a lot of St. Francis beers in that regard. Bland and forgettable.

KABLOW. First rate. Pours a little thin. Tastes a little thin. Still has a nice flavor profile. Caramel, chocolate, some coffee edges. Mossy bakers chocolate tones, but not really creamy, more astringent...coffee grounds. Comes off very homebrewish. Seems Sand Creek does a pretty shabby job with their contract beers. Not impressive.

Tap at St. Francis. This is a different version than the one brewed at Sand Creek. Unfiltered red. A little more depth than their normal Red. Still fully malt centered, any hops are minimal and lack depth. Chewy, cream amber malt tones. A touch of vanilla, cherrywood. Not big enough to be a real "double" anything...accomplished full bodied at least. Soapy, unimpressive brewhouse aromas. Not one I’d recommend or order again. Bland.

Tap at St. Francis. Embarrassingly yeasty, unfiltered thick brown tan body. Creamy off-white/beige head. Sweet chocolate aroma. Rich and chewy, the excess yeast gives it a milkshake feel. Pretty enjoyable overall, though not on the same level as a good German example. Slight warming feel underneath the brown chocolate tones. No off flavors, captures the style well enough. Decent.

Tap at St. Francis. Unfiltered burgundy orange-brown. Thin off-white head. Not so impressive, malt forward. The smoke isn’t so massive. Kind of a hollow feel. A touch of aspirin dryness. Loses some points for being a 12oz poured pint. The smoke and rye sort of balance each other out. Medium bodied, pretty insipid offering. The malts, ingredients in general, come across cheap.

Tap at St. Francis. Deep ruby burgundy brown body, filtered. Steady beige head. Sweet, nutty, pleasant aroma. I typically enjoy Imperial Brown Ales, and this is no exception. Creamy and relatively easy drinking for the ABV. The coconut adds some nice depth, merging with the caramel brown sugar sweetness of the malts. Almost has an oaky touch. Nice to have a big brown ale that hasn’t been stripped by barrel aging. Well done.

12oz bottle. Wasn’t sure of the ABV but suspect it is above 6%. Thick burgundy brown red body. Creamy beige head. Sweet candy orange and sugary brown and black malts. Almost like an overbearing Porter. There is black pepper in the beer, and that kind of adds the balance. Kind of a dumbed down version of small batches they’ve had at the brewery. Still relatively enjoyable.

Tap at St. Francis. Foamy white/off-white head on top of a filtered orange body. Odd oily chipotle aroma. Cask feel. The chipotle gives it more depth, but this still isn’t that good...approaching OK.
