Description
We focus our attention on brewing rustic, unfiltered, aromatic beers that are approachable and unique. We pull from our home brewing background to build beers that pay homage to tradition, but break new ground in American brewing techniques and flavors by blurring the line between beer and wine. We are brewers of big ideas in very small batches.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is dominated by nice coffee aromas with some complimentary vanilla notes. Some dark bitter chocolate and faint roast also present in aroma. No alcohol or hop notes. Low fruit esters. Pours a dark brown to black with dark brown on the edges. Mocha colored head that steadily recedes to the edges. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor starts with some nice malt flavors. Dark chocolate and a faint roast character. This quickly mixes with some really nice coffee character and some complimentary vanilla notes. The finish is sweet with some vanilla and dark chocolate. Low bitterness and a faint hop flavor in the finish. Not much ester notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Starts with a nice creaminess. Low but present astringency, seems to be from the coffee more than the malts. Low alcohol warmth. Overall this is a really nice coffee porter and the vanilla works really well to cut the coffee notes and keep them from becoming too overwhelming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark mahogony beer with a dark cream head. Tart and light dark malt aroma. Tart flavor with light fruitiness and wine characteristics. Medium bodied. Tart and light fruitiness linger with wine and light oak. Very nice.

Growler shared by David (I think). Pours with a hazy golden hued body with a white head. Aromas are herbal with tropical fruit, lots of high co-humulone hops, grassy, estery. Flavors are grassy, grainy, herbal, slightly aggressive, resin, pungent. Low malt, mostly hops. Lively carbonation, dry. Good.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is a nice proportionate blend of esters and phenolics with the esters driving. Some overripe pear, citrus, banana, a hint of apple and tropical fruit. Light peppercorn note to balance the fruitiness. A touch of honey hits you upfront. Pours a, cloudy, pale yellow gold with a white head that recedes very quickly leaving a film on the edges. Flavor has a nice fruity character. Lots of citrus and overripe tropical fruit. A hint of honey. A touch of banana. Moderate bitterness, but assertive. Some pepper flavor mid to late palate. Some light malt character - a touch of pilsner character. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and a touch silky but finishes nice and dry. Moderate alcohol warmth. Light hop astringency. A nice beer an one of my favorite styles, but not my favorite from this brewery. The esters and phenolics are appropriately balanced, but I prefer the esters to be less banana and tropical fruit and more citrus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle at the brewery. Aroma has a large amount of light pepper phenolics. Some light pear esters. Light oak character and moderate Chardonnay and wine acidity. Pours a cloudy golden color with a thick, white head with great retention and some nice lacing. Flavor is nice with a good balance. Light graininess and cracker character from the malt. Some light citrus notes and a medium low phenolic flavor. There is a nice wine barrel character in the background providing some light acidity and some oak. Medium bitterness but not any hop flavor. Some fruitiness from the wine as well in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with a nice creaminess to it. Medium high carbonation. Faint astringency and moderate alcohol warmth. Overall a really nice Golden Ale, but it's not one of my favorite styles. Very well balanced and the wine barrels provide nice secondary notes as opposed to dominating the flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Nice tart aroma with a touch of citrus fruit and pineapple. Some mustiness present as while. Light wheat malt aroma. A very enjoyable aroma that has me going back for more. Pours a very hazy yellow gold, but this did come from the bottom of the keg. Little no head or retention. Flavor has a good deal of acidity throughout. Nice pineapple and citrus in the flavor as well. Light barnyard mustiness to compliment the acidity. No bitterness and no astringency. Tastes a bit salty; water must have high salinity. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied, but surprisingly full for such a small beer. Medium high carbonation, could possibly be a bit higher. Overall a super enjoyable beer. One of my favorite styles and a great version of it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is a ton of pineapple, some melon and other tropical fruit. A hint of an overripe fruit character. Some pink peppercorn phenolics and citrus as well. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow gold with a thin white head that recedes somewhat quickly. No lacing. Flavor has a lot of the same fruit as the aroma, especially the pineapple. There is more of a cracker malt character as well. Assertive bitterness is a touch on the astringent side. Nice dry finish. O touch of a farmhouse character, but more fruity than goaty. Some spicy phenolics in the finish, but more like peppercorn than clove. Mouthfeel is medium to medium light with medium carbonation. Low hop astringency and only a low alcohol warmth. Overall a really enjoyable Belgian IPA but the bitterness is a touch aggressive for the body. I could drink this beer daily. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is a balanced blend of citrus and barnyard funk with a touch of goat. The citrus is very lemony. Little to no phenolics. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a nice white head with good retention. Flavor is very lemony and refreshing with less Brett funk than the aroma had. Nice assertive bitterness and hard water make more a nice palate cleansing finish. Low phenolics in flavor as well. Mouthfeel is crisp and finishes dry. Not thin at all. Alcohol warmth is moderate but present without effecting aroma or flavor. No astringency. Moderately high carbonation. Overall this is a really nice saison and a great addition to the Sante Adairius portfolio. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
