Ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with a straw yellow glow and a very fast-dying, pure white head that starts out at around two centimetres tall and fades to nothing a few seconds later. Aroma of citrus, funky yeast, bretty and very lactobilly aromas with a small dose of wheat and mostly just the funky light soured and fruit notes without much else going on, but no real discernable fruit components here. Light-bodied; Small guava and papaya notes at first that show a little bit of body from malt, with a tiny lactobilly and almost creamy note with some light sugars and a touch of the mangoes, but no passionfrui t and no blood oranges here at all. Aftertaste is dry and very funky with the yeast and complex kettle soured components definitely overpowering anything else here, but the light wheat shows through and gives some support to the weak, but flavourful soured fruit notes. Overall, a very dry and simplistic beer that shows the wheat, yeast and funky kettle soured notes with a light dose of fruits throughout, but no blood orange nor overt fruit bitterness, nor any of the really tropical fruit notes that a passionfruit might give away - this is fairly mundane throughout, sadly. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando (Orange Blossom Trail), Florida on 05-May-2018 for US$2,84 sampled at home in Washingotn on 14-April-2020 after not going back down to Florida for Spring Break this year, sadly.

Tap at Hole in The Wall (Raglan outside bar). Dark brown almost black pour big frothy Guinness like head. Nose is light earthy chocolate. Tastes of light malt, rootbeer, roast and hint of dark chocolate. Thin and dry. I’m hungover so this is pleasant way to get back into life.
