Description
Baron Brewing is a playground for beer, where no two batches are the same. Made for the fun and love of the process – the next beer will be the best beer.

The brewery is based on a farm in Great Hormead, East Hertfordshire. The focus is to brew modern styles, particularly highly hopped ales and fresh lagers.

The 1000L brewhouse allows for an ever-changing range of beers to be brewed. Each style will be pushed to its limits, with the evolution and development of new flavours.

Black beer, thin tan head. Big malty aroma. Rich malt flavour up front, with some slightly zesty hop, a bit of caramel, but it's mostly a very pure hops 'n' malt porter but super tasty. Nice balance, good body, super drinkable. Too drinkable for 8.4%!

Can bought at Kerrera, Guildford. Aroma has resin, stone fruit, an earthiness. Hazy amber orange. Thin frothy foamy translucent white head. Ooh. It is certainly bitter. Like licking some resin splattered balsa. Spice. Develops tangy fruit with a drop of sweetness. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Powdery touch. Flat carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Flavoursome WCIPA.

Nose in the glass gives mostly alcohol. Good chewy mouthfull spoilt by the attempt to turn a DIPA into a TIPA. Seems like the intention was to brew a 10% IPA rather than an IPA which might end up quite strong. Top down rather than bottom up. Too ambitious

Tastes like a Baron hazy. To be honest, I can’t really tell these beers apart. Hint of booze, bit of fruit, too much haze for me but maybe it’s nice.

Can. Just a light haze on this paleish yellow gold beer, residual fine carbonation. Light pale malts, mildly dry, a decent light creamy sweetness. Hops deliver crisp pine and a refreshing crisp citrus peel bitterness. Modern Mosaic provides a good skin of candy fruits that contrasts with the bitterish citric peel. Light finish. A nice crisp bitterish dipa.
