Description
A bunch of friends who started brewing NOLO beers during the 1st lockdown. After a fairly successful first launch we went a bit rogue and made about 9 beers in 3 months, people kept wanting more so, we kept making them. We didn't quite intend to start a company and carry on after lockdown ended, but here we are.

440ml can, which literally erupted in my face on opening, lost half the can to the floor! Feared the worst as I poured the remainder into the glass and unfortunately did indeed get the worst. It seems to look ok? A mostly clear golden with white head. Aroma is awful some caramel but mostly off flavours, malt vinegar like. Taste is similar, caramel, possibly some diacetyl, no vinegar in the taste but it does turn extremely bitter and astringent. Body is light as expected for an AF lager. Obviously poured the rest down the drain after a few sips. What on earth is going on with Mash Gang lately? Getting some terrible ratings with various of their beers. On the other site there's loads of reports of exploding cans (which I wish I'd read beforehand). And also, I bought this from Siren, who seem to be aware of this issue, why are they still selling it two months after release. Is there seriously no recall for these obviously bad batches?

Can from Rallys at home 27/10/2024 Bitter herbal grassy hoppy with some fruity notes of lemon and grape, straw, hay, rice grain, cereal, dry light peppery herbal hop spice on the backend, ok body, slight wooden accents, grassy bitter hoppy close. Great AF brew as usual from these guys. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stoop Extra Dry - Japanese Lager on 26 Mar 2025 at 12:23 - Score: 7. Can from Væskebalancen at home 26/10/2024 Juicy fruity with loads of red grapefruit and tangerine, some mango and melon, getting a touch of hop spice even, sweet malted barley support with a nice body and mouthfeel, dank edged bitter finish. Top drawer AF IPA.

Can from Væskebalancen at home 25/10/2024 Fruity with a nice pineapple aroma and taste, bruised pineapple and pineapple peel, getting a touch of ginger and a light brown sugar edge, chilli is there and well balanced, fruity spiced finish. Does exactly what it says as usual with these guys.
