Description
We chose the name Odd Breed for our brewery because the yeast and bacteria we use are not the typical microbes used in a brewery for fermentation. In a world of industrialized and mainstream beer, most other brewers would consider our brewery and process to be a bit odd.

We think that being different is a good thing, and in a crowded market where most breweries are emulating whatever they think is popular or trendy, we have purposefully chosen to create our own path, as we strive to produce the types of beers we like most.

375mL bottle, pours a clear bronze with almost no head. Aroma is like drinking vinegar, dried stone fruits, and some sugars. Flavour has lots of dried apricots, tons of drinking vinegar, loads of booze, oak, and maybe a touch of the sauv blanc. Man is it this odd. Definitely too vinegary, probably too boozy, but there’s some nice fruitiness underneath. Flat carb. Very, very odd.

Amber, bright, pours basically flat with no head. The aroma has a funky mushroomy type of character, sweet acetic, with a bit of vinous note. On the palate, about the same. Tart, vinous, but odd, definitely something in the mushroomy direction, like they have a kombucha plant next door. I don't know what to make of this, but it's not entirely effective.

375mL bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with a minimal head. Tons of candied fruits, some fermentation, chewy malts. Flavour has chewy fruits, some apricots, peaches, grapes. It's very strong and boozy, the fruit is very chewy and tart. Weird and not great.

Poured from the tap @ MBCC 2023 blue session (finally adding my notes). Clear-ish gold with small white head. Gentle mango and funk, compliments each other.
