Description
Hidden Springs Ales Works is a craft brewery in the greater Tampa Heights neighborhood just north of down town Tampa.
We were born from the minds of Joshua Garman and Austin Good (two local guys who loved to brew), and we joined the neighborhood in September of 2015. Yellow Brick Row has become our home away from home, and we hope that it is your’s as well. So, swing by the Tasting Room, find yourself a seat, and enjoy one of our beers. There’s always room for more at the bar.

On tap at Hidden Springs, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of peach, a touch of strawberry and plenty of both lactose and lacto. Flavour is sweet and sour, with lots of strawberry and peach, sugars, and light lacto. Typical adjunct-laden sweet kettle sour. Not my thing at all.

On tap at Hidden Springs, pours a cloudy bright reddish pink with a small white head. Aroma is full of lime, pithy blackberry, lactose, and a touch of vanilla. Flavour is sweet and sour, with lots of lactose and lime upfront, followed by a touch of blackberry and plenty of vanilla. It's typical adjuncted sweet kettle sour. Meh.

Can. Sick note rate. Bright clear pale cherry colour beer, good size pink head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Tart and sweet cherry over some awkward vanilla infused malts. The end result is a very light bucolic note. Airy and semi dry finish. Nice cherry but the rest of it is messy, you'd think these 2 brewers could come up with something better than this!

Can. Almost clear paleish cherry colour beer, tidy but short lived pink head. Light palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. I wasn't too sure about this one, sour chocolate anything is usually a mess in my book but here it's cherry this is the star, a very mildly tart morello cherry and the chocolate covering is white chocolate as far as I can tell. A pleasant combo. Light finish. Another light and very drinkable pastry sour from this brewery.

Can. Near clear gold beer, small and short lived off white head. Light smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Nice light and reasonably juicy Guava, has a piney brightness. The mellow tartness is nicely offset by the well judged vanilla and lactose. Light and mildly dry finish. Good fun.

Can. A light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth light palate, decent fine minerally carbonation coming through on the back end. Nice light pastry sour, the strawberry is light and slightly floral and goes well with the sweetish coconut and milky sweet lactose. I'm struggling to get much watermelon, as in any at all. Light and mildly dry finish. Refreshing.

Panda courtesy of mR_fr0g, cheers Fergus! Black colour, no lasting head and aroma of chocolate, cake, wafer, rum, bourbon, vanilla, peanutty. Taste is sweet, malty, chocolate cake, rum, bourbon, peanut, wood, vanilla, with warming booze and some bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, low soft carbonation, boozy dark chocolatey finish. Very drinkable.
